Planbox Boards help you plan and prioritize work, iterations, projects or anything else you would like to organize. Create as many boards as you need for planning only or create a Board that can be published as an Initiative. Boards can be used for iteration planning, project planning, creating product roadmaps, work prioritization and much more. This module is loosely based on the concept of Kanban for work management.
A board can have as many columns as you would like. Each column consists of one or more cards that represent a work deliverable (an Item) or anything else you choose the card to represent in case of the Free Hand board type. A thumbnail representing the last file attachment is used as a visual representation of the card - only the card name is displayed if there are no attachments. You can drag and drop cards to move them from one column to another. The columns themselves can also be dragged and dropped as needed for planning and organization purposes.
You can create the following Board types for planning and prioritization purposes: Iteration Planning, Project Planning and Free Hand.
Switching Views
For Iteration Planning and Project Planning board types you can switch back and forth between Boards and Items and Tasks views at any time.
Example: Switch to Board view from the Items & Tasks page for the initiative called Internal
Example: Switch back to the Items & Tasks view from the Board page for the initiative called Internal
Board Types
1) Iteration Planning
For this board type columns are mapped to iterations and each card represents a work Item.
Sample - The Initiative R&D Priorities when the board is published
(Cards appear as Items in the backlog, current, next, or in the other planned iterations in the Items & Tasks view)

2) Project Planning
For this board type columns are mapped to Projects and each card represents a work Item.

3) Free Hand
Free Hand boards are used to plan, prioritize and organize anything - not just work related concepts. For this board type columns and cards represent anything you want them to be.
Note : This board type is not be mapped to an Initiative or to any Projects, Items or Iterations.
